Communications Assistant
The Communications Assistant role supports the execution of the marketing campaigns that underpin the retail marketing strategy for Retail Banking, working closely with agencies/
suppliers and the Customer Marketing team to execute the marketing strategy.
Key accountabilities are expected to include:
• Awareness of the in-year marketing plan giving consideration for the specific product areas of responsibility to support relevant business plans
• Supporting the execution of the product specific retail marketing campaigns ensuring Financial Promotions are jargon free and meets with TCF principle of clear, fair and not misleading
• Maintain executional plans/schedules supporting delivery of internal communications campaigns driving colleague advocacy
• Processing of estimates, purchase orders and invoices for all suppliers involved in the campaign production process
• Responsibility for the adherence to the correct regulatory processes & procedures to the creation of Financial Promotions including the maintenance of accurate and compliant job bags as in accordance with the GI Financial Promotions Procedures Manual
Key capabilities sought:
• Degree qualified or of graduate calibre, Marketing Diploma or equivalent and a proven ability to deliver in a communications type role
• An understanding of the campaign management process and experience of working with marketing agencies. Excellent knowledge of all risk and governance frameworks ensuring that all Financial Promotions adhere to TCF principles
• Strong interpersonal skills. Analytical with the ability to capture feedback and results on all campaigns to feed into the overarching evaluation
• A genuine passion for communications with strong creative skills that assess every piece through the eyes of the customer/colleague
